Managing Director, Private Investments

Pace Kessenich

Pace leads Pitcairn’s private investment program, which is central to achieving excellent investment outcomes and providing an exceptional client experience.

Pace oversees the strategic development, formation, and ongoing management of private investment programs across private real estate, private credit, private equity, and venture capital. He also serves on the Due Diligence Committee specific to private investments.

Pace will continue to manage major client relationships along with the Pitcairn Advisory team. He strives to help current and prospective clients understand the potential benefits and risks of private investments and the role they play in achieving long-term wealth management goals. He collaborates with the entire Pitcairn team to integrate private investment research into the firm’s overall investment platform, ensuring that structures are optimized for the unique construction parameters of the portfolio asset models and effectively meet the needs of Pitcairn’s ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Before joining Pitcairn, Pace served as Chief Executive Officer at Brightside Partners, a registered investment advisor (RIA) that Pitcairn acquired in 2025. As Chief Executive Officer, Pace was responsible for the firm’s financial and operational leadership, including establishing its strategic direction and fostering a culture of respect, excellence, and teamwork. Brightside Partners advised on more than $1.6 billion in assets, serving approximately 40 client families.

Pace has a BS in Mathematics from the United States Navel Academy, a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School.

Outside of the office, Pace enjoys oil painting, lifting, running, biking, and watching college football. One day he hopes to rent an RV and spend the fall traveling from one SEC football game to another from September to November.
